Brassler Sapphire Stickpin

Hans Brassler sapphire stickpin (SP9516).

Brassler Sapphire

A rippling gold circle with milgrained edges frames a sparkling, deep blue sapphire.  The sapphire rests in a sturdy gold bezel anchored with diagonal, knife-edge wires.  This finely crafted stickpin was created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold, circa 1910.

Brassler was an imaginative jeweler who in the early 1900s created wonderfully striking jewels.  His work reflects his willingness to find inspiration in myriad design influences ( Classical, Medieval, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, etc) and to create imaginative jewels that are uniquely his own.

This stickpin is finely crafted in 14kt gold with a sturdy gold pin stem. (see photo below)  The maker's mark of the Brassler workshop (an oval enclosing "14B") is stamped on the side of the upper pin stem.

Cost:  $385

Measurements:  This 14kt gold stickpin is 2 1/2" long and the top is 3/8" in diameter.  It weighs 1.5 grams.
