Regal Pinstripes

The warmth of antique gold and regally engraved pinstripes.  The elegant shape of the cufflinks is highlighted with finely detailed borders and beaded and denticulate edges.  Created by Taylor & Co. in 14kt gold,  circa 1920.

The backs of these cufflinks are as carefully crafted and designed as the fronts. Note the thickness of the edges and the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure the cufflinks on the cuff.  The maker of these cufflinks, Taylor & Company, was known for crisp, fine details and precise execution of its designs.

The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark of the Taylor & Company - a draftsman's T-square - flanked by "14" and "K" for the purity of the gold. The firm was founded by John N. Taylor in 1906 and created elegant cufflinks and other jewels into the 1930s.
