Art Deco CufflinksHypnotic Jazz! |
Jazzy Art Deco cufflinks with a pattern of alternating zigzag and concentric circles surrounded by black enamel borders. The almost hypnotic effect of these cufflinks is a nice example of the "Op Art" designs of the later Art Deco era. Created by Wordley, Allsopp & Bliss in 14kt gold, circa 1930.
As with all fine antique cufflinks, this pair is as well designed and crafted on the reverse as it is on the front. Note the sturdy four-footed brackets and cross bars which secure these links on the cuff. The finest craftsmanship is always apparent in the smallest details.
The maker's mark of Wordley, Allsopp and Bliss ("WAB") is stamped on the cross bars. Wordley, Allsopp and Bliss was a maker of fine cufflinks and other jewels during the early decades of the last century. Beneath the maker's mark is the precious metal mark for 14kt gold ("14K").
