Amethyst and Pearl

A rich purple amethyst,  six beautifully matched seed pearls,  and flowing scrolls give this brooch a striking,  fin de siecle elegance.  This jewel was created in 14kt gold circa1900.

Measurements:  This striking pin measures almost  1"  in width and  0.75"  in height.

By examining the rear of the pin you can see its sturdy construction,  the solidness of the scroll work  and how the bezel securely holds the amethyst.  Also note the  "C"  clasp and the chatelaine hook from which a drop pendant or small watch would have been suspended.
