![]() Dragon and Turquoise Cufflinks![]() Guardian Dragons |
Victorian jewelers in the late 19th century
found inspiration in the arts and artistry of East Asia.
The cultures and designs of China and Japan were particularly
strong influences. These finely sculpted cufflinks feature
fierce dragons encircling sky blue turquoise. An elegant
example of West meeting East crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1890.
![]() The solid gold backs of the cufflinks are as well finished as the fronts. Note the sturdy cross bars and ribbed brackets which secure the cufflinks on the cuff. Beneath the brackets "14K" is stamped for the purity of the gold.
