Intensely blue lapis lazuli sparkles with golden accents
(small specks of pyrite) beneath flowing Art Nouveau
curves and classically inspired laurel wreath borders. A
wonderful example of the elegant, finely sculpted jewels created
by Hans Brassler. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1910.
![]() Hans Brassler was a wonderfully imaginative jeweler who around 1910 created a unique collection of stickpins and other small jewels. He often wedded elements of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and classical design to create striking miniature works of sculpture.
![]() This stickpin is beautifully crafted with a sturdy gold pin stem to secure the jewel on a lapel or scarf. The maker's mark of The Brassler Company, a double oval enclosing "14" followed by a "B", is stamped on the lower reverse partially hidden by the pin stem. Cost: $665 |
