Elegant Platinum and Gold Cufflinks

Art Deco platinum and gold cufflinks. (J8975)

Platinum Octagon!

Elegant platinum top cufflinks with bull's eyes of engraved concentric circles.  The surrounding border features alternating panels of tiered steps and foliate designs.  A nice example of the Art Deco designs of the 1920s.  Crafted in platinum and 14kt gold,  circa 1920.

The backs of the cufflinks are crafted in 14kt yellow gold polished to a mirror-like finish.  Please excuse the dark reflections from the camera.  The cufflinks are connected with hallmarked cross bars and sturdy brackets.

Close up of Charles Keller maker's mark. (J8975)

The cross bars show the maker's mark (partially obscured) of Charles Keller & Company, an elongated "C" surrounding "14" followed by a "K".  The reverse of the cufflinks is also marked "PLAT. ON 14K" for the precious metals.  Charles Keller was a maker of fine cufflinks from 1876 until the early 1930s.
