Beautifully engraved platinum on gold cufflinks with star burst and flower motifs surrounded by elegant Chinese key borders.  Crafted in platinum and 14kt gold,  circa 1925.

You should always carefully examine cufflinks from every angle.  Here you can see the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure these links.  The backs are crafted in 14kt gold and polished to a mirror-like finish.  (Please excuse the reflections from our camera.)

The cross bars are marked "PLON14K" for platinum on 14kt gold.  This style of platinum and gold cufflink was popular during the early decades of the last century.
