Rich black enamel borders surround golden foliate wreaths and abstract geometric centers. The center motifs are reminiscent of Japanese and Chinese designs. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1920.
![]() The backs of the cufflinks are well crafted. Note the sturdy cross bars and brackets that secure the links and the mirror-like finish of the gold surfaces.
![]() The cross bars are stamped with the precious metal mark for 14kt gold ("14K"). To the right of the gold mark is the maker's mark for R. Blackinton & Company (a sword impaling a capital letter "B"). Blackinton was a maker of fine jewelry and accessories in gold and silver.
