Entwining Art Nouveau curves cradle a luminous pearl and bright blue sapphire. The flowing curves come together beneath the sapphire to create an open heart. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1900.
The reverse of the stickpin (pictured below) is nicely crafted. The sturdy back is solidly constructed and protects the sapphire and small pearl. The pin stem is stamped "14K" for the purity of the gold followed by the maker's mark of Krementz & Co., two addorsed "Js". Krementz was a maker of stickpins and other fine jewels in the decades around 1900.
