Mermaid and Swan  A mermaid quietly contemplates her scepter amid swaying cattails as a swan glides past.  This beautifully sculpted scene is a tour de force of Art Nouveau design.  Created by Krementz & Co. in 14kt gold, circa 1900.   Cost:  $1,275

Sapphires and Diamonds  Elegant Art Deco cufflinks with rich blue sapphires and sparkling diamonds centering an intricate "spider web" design radiating outward.  Crafted in 14kt gold and platinum circa 1925.  Cost:  $765

Fierce Dragons  Fierce dragons menacingly uncoil as if readying to lunge forward and breath fire.  These Art Nouveau cufflinks were created by Larter & Sons in 14kt gold circa 1900.  Cost:  $885

Taylor Torpedoes  Elegant antique gold framed by tiered white gold borders.  The striking "torpedo" shape of these cufflinks is highlighted with black enamel accents.  Created in 14kt gold,  circa 1930.  Cost:  $925

Jungle Sapphire  A tangle of stylized palm fronds and jungle foliage fills white gold borders surrounding radiant sunburst centers. A deep blue sapphire is set on one side.  Crafted in 10kt gold circa 1925.  Cost:  $625

Malachite and Onyx  Elegant green malachite and black onyx separated by polished bands of gold. The bright gold and colorful gemstones give these cufflinks an alluring appeal.  Crafted in 14kt gold circa 1960.  Cost:  $725

Art Nouveau stickpin with pearl. (SP9546)



Nouveau Elegance  The elegant simplicity of a flowing Art Nouveau stickpin set with a pearl.  This jewel brings to mind the elaborate headdresses and hair ornaments featured in Alphonse Mucha's work.  Created by Whiteside & Blank in 14kt gold, circa 1900.  Cost: $485

Amethyst and Enamel  An elongated purple amethyst set in a broad gold frame with neoclassical, white enamel accents.  This elegant stickpin weds the allure of amethyst and gold with Art Deco flair.  Created by Alling & Co. in 14kt gold circa 1910.  Cost: $465


Louis Wiese chimera stickpin. (SP9560)


French Chimera  The head of a woman, the wings and legs of an eagle and the body of a serpent.  Intertwining acanthus leaves and tendrils surround the golden chimera.  Created by Louis Wiese in 18kt gold, circa 1900.  Cost: $1,225

Diamond-in-Sapphire  An elegant stickpin custom created about 1920  with a lovely Old European cut diamond set in the center of a torus-cut man-made sapphire. Crafted in 14kt gold and platinum.  Cost: $725


Brassler amethyst and diamond stickpin. (J9539)


Amethyst and Diamond  A rich amethyst is set in a finely sculpted frame of laurel leaves and angular scrolls.  Above the scrolls a small diamond sparkles like a beacon at the top of the stickpin.  This elegant jewel was created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold, circa 1910.  Cost: $545

Brassler Sapphire  A rippling gold circle frames a sparkling, deep blue sapphire.  The sapphire rests in a sturdy gold bezel anchored with diagonal, knife-edge wires.  A finely crafted stickpin was created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold, circa 1910.  Cost:  $385

Moonstone and Claw  A moonstone orb softly glows as if it has trapped a moonbeam inside.   The gemstone is held by a finely sculpted claw with sharp talons and realistic scales
.  This elegant stickpin was created by an unknown maker in 14kt gold in the years around 1900.  Cost: $535

Dolphin and Pearl  A Renaissance dolphin quickly turns as if startled by a luminous pearl.  The sea creature is finely sculpted with a sinuous, twisting body and a determined, purposeful expression.  Created by Carter, Howe in 14kt gold circa 1900.   Cost:  $625
