Diamond-in-Sapphire  An elegant stickpin custom created with a bright Old European-cut diamond set in the center of a torus-cut, man-made sapphire.  Crafted in 14kt gold and platinum, circa 1910.  Cost: $725

Louis Wiese chimera stickpin. (SP9560)

Wiese Chimera  The head of a woman, the wings and legs of an eagle and the body of a serpent.  Intertwining acanthus leaves and tendrils surround the golden chimera.  Created by Louis Wiese in 18kt gold, circa 1900.  Cost: $1,225

Nouveau Elegance  The elegant simplicity of a flowing Art Nouveau stickpin set with a pearl.  This jewel brings to mind the elaborate headdresses and hair ornaments featured in Alphonse Mucha's work.  Created by Whiteside & Blank in 14kt gold, circa 1900.  Cost: $485

Amethyst and Diamond  A rich amethyst is set in a finely sculpted frame of laurel leaves and angular scrolls.  Above the scrolls a small diamond sparkles like a beacon at the top of the stickpin.  This elegant jewel was created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold, circa 1910.  Cost: $545

Moonstone and Claw  A moonstone orb softly glows as if a moonbeam is trapped inside.  The gemstone is held by a finely sculpted claw with sharp talons and realistic scales
